Visit by Director-General of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office of Dubai

On 6 September 2026, Mr. Simon CHAN, Director-General of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Dubai and a HKUST Business School MBA alumnus, met with the inaugural cohort of students from the BBA in Eurasian Business Program at Nazarbayev University (NU) in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The session provided students with a rare and valuable opportunity to engage with a senior Hong Kong government official, while also reinforcing the strong institutional support behind the program. During the interactive and insightful discussion, students explored career pathways, emerging industry trends, and internship opportunities that strengthen connections between Kazakhstan and Hong Kong.
