HKUST Delegation Visits NU to Strengthen Collaborations

We are excited to announce a successful visit by a delegation from HKUST Clearwater Bay (CWB) and Guangzhou (GZ) campuses to Nazarbayev University (NU). This cultural and work visit, which took place from September 22-23, 2025, aimed to strengthen collaborations.

The delegation was led by the President Lionel NI of the HKUST (GZ) campus and included esteemed deans, faculty members, and colleagues. The visit featured a roundtable discussion led by President Waqar AHMAD of NU, where the topic of Redefining Educational Paradigms and Unlocking Cooperation Potentials, was addressed. This engaging dialogue paved the way for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), solidifying commitment to future collaborations.

During the visit, HKUST delegates toured the impressive NU campus and met with heads of different units. These interactions allowed for fruitful discussions on academic initiatives and opportunities. A highlight of the trip was the individual meeting with NU’s Graduate School of Business to finalize the BBA in Eurasian Business, jointly launched by NU and HKUST (CWB).

The visit concluded with a delightful dinner, where delegates exchanged cultural experiences and discussed future endeavours. It marks a significant step forward in our collaboration and looking forward to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead for our BBA in Eurasian Business program!
